NYC New York Color Empire State Blue Review!

Hey Everybody! Today I am doing a review of NYC Empire State Blue nail polish. If you would like to see it on my nails go to my first Nails of the Week post (click here!). This nail polish is a turquoise/aqua like blue with green shimmer. The color reminds me of a kind of mermaid like color or fish scales. It has a somewhat liquidity consistency which is okay if you ask me. It took me three coats to get the polish completely opaque on my nails.

This is what the brush looks like:

Overall I think it is a good polish. I really liked the color and the nail polish lasted a really long time on my nails--(Four days! with no chipping and very minimum wear!)--but then I took it off to change my nail colors. I have always been a fan of NYC polishes and this one is one of my fav polishes!

Thanks for reading!

FTC: I bought the polish with my own money and all opinions are mine. I am not being paid for anything!

Birthday Makeup Haul!

Nails of the Week!

Hey Everybody! This week I painted my nails with NYC Empire State Blue. A last hoozah! before I have to start wearing conservative colors for school observations.
What I used:
  • One coat Sally Hansen Continuous Treatment Growth as a base coat.
  • Three coats NYC Empire State Blue.
  • One coat of an old Sally Hansen top coat that I have.

Even though it took three coats to make the polish completely opaque, it lasted a long time. This picture was taken on day four of the nail polish and probably would have lasted four more days but I wanted to change my nails so I took it off. As you can see in the picture (especially if you enlarge it) there is not any chips and there is very little noticeable wear. Only the tips of my nails were starting to wear off.

Pure Ice and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Swatches!

Hey Everybody! Here are some quick swatches of the four Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polishes that I own and one of my Pure Ice polishes I own. From thumb to pinkie: Pure Ice Kiss Me Here, (the rest are Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure) Plum's the Word, Choco-Latte, Peachy Keen, and Sheer Me Now.

Pure Ice Kiss Me Here is a medium gray color. The polish dries rather quickly but has a little bit thick consistency.

The Sally Hansen polishes were a good consistency but took longer to dry than the Pure Ice polish:
  • Plum's the Word is a mauve taupe like color.
  • Choco-Latte is a pinkish nude color.
  • Peachy Keen is a very light peachy skin tone type color.
  • Sheer Me Now has very similar coloring to Peachy Keen but is a shade or two lighter. This polish also took the longest to dry out of them all, granted this may be human error (I probably put to much on my nail).

Well that's my swatches, thanks for reading!
